He has a mustache and light beard, though the beard is more stubble than anything.
Distinguishing Features: Grim has wing tattoos on his back that span the full width of his back. They resemble his own demon wings. Demon Appearance
Weight: Unknown
Height:
Physical Description: When in his full demonic form, his whole body turns black. His hands become more claw like, and he has long horns on his head. His eyes begin to glow red, and the rest of his facial features seem to melt away. He has wings larges wings on his back that have a red interior and a black exterior.
Distinguishing Features Towards the bottom of his wings, there are holes and tears as if they are not fully formed. He does not have most of his facial features in this form, and he has a few vein-like cracks that seem to spew out red as if his insides were made of fire. His looks in this form give him away as only being a half demon.

The Human
Personality: Though you might not think it, Grim is a gentle soul. Though he certainly could, he wouldn’t hurt a fly. He despises what he is and does everything he can to make up for his past and for his lineage. He is pretty easy going for the most part, but, when something does bother him, he has an extremely bad temper. When conversing with most people, he is usually very blunt and straightforward, though not with malicious intent. However, when speaking with children, he is as kind and gentle as can be. He adores children and is extremely protective of them. Grim views the world as a treasure trove of interesting people and ideas that don’t deserve the kind of hell his kinfolk would like to unleash upon it. He is fascinated by the way people interact with each other on a daily basis and how each individual views the world differently. This fascination is what got him interested in theatre as a way to see how people react to different scenarios and simply to express himself.
Mundane Skills: Cooking, Guitar, Playwriting, Gardening, Puppeteering
Occupation: Playwright, occasionally assists the high school's drama club

The Not So Human
Species Description: His mother was a human, while his father is a demon, making him a halfbreed. As such, while he has the anger and powers of a demon, he is still in many ways human. His father is a winged fire demon birthed in the depths of Hell but free to cause mayhem on earth when called upon.
Powers and Abilities:
Flight: When he chooses to, Grim can summon his wings and fly with ease through the sky. This is something he only does on the rare occasion, as the wings feel like they are burning their way out of his back when he first calls for them, though the sensation dissipates when they are fully out. When he no longer wishes for their presence, the wings ease back into Grim’s back and leave no trace that they were ever there.
Hellfire Manipulation: Because his father is a fire demon, Grim has the ability to call upon the flames of Hell at a moment’s notice. The flames usually shoot out from the palms of his hands, but, on a few occasions, he has been able to start fires by simply thinking about it.
Enhanced Strength: Because of the demon blood that runs inside him, he is much stronger than the average person. Though he can’t go tossing cars around like it’s nothing, he can certainly lift one off the ground with some effort if someone needed help.
Hellfire Constructs: Using the flames of Hell, he can create various tools and objects. Their structural strength varies based on confident Grim was in its creation. While he has used this a few times in a pinch, he doesn’t have much experience with it.

The Story
Character Background: Grim was born in a small town in Southern Indiana of about 500 residents. His mother was unable to bear a child which saddened her greatly. She prayed to God for an answer, but, instead, was answered by the demon who would be his father. After impregnating his mother, Grim’s father returned to the fiery abyss. For the first part of his life, Grim did not realize that he was anything other than human. His mother tried very hard to keep it that way. Though he was born of a demon, she knew he didn’t have to live that life and gave him the name of the angel Gabriel as a reminder to him that he never had to be what his father is.

Grim felt throughout his childhood that he was different than his peers, but never knew exactly how. He asked his mother about it frequently, but she didn’t want him to know. He would often get angry for no reason and would wish harm on others with no provocation. Eventually, when his powers started to manifest at the age of 10, she did told him about who his father was, but told him that he needed to remember who he is, not what the world expected him to be. He might feel the drive to do evil from time to time, but it would pass. She told him that shadow passes, light remains.

After he knew he was half demon, he began practicing his powers in private. He felt the power inside him and wanted to know what he could do, not because he had wished to do harm, but because it was a part of him that he wanted to be able to understand. As he tested out his powers, it became clear to him that he had a fire inside of him that he could let out. It felt as though he might be able to change into a different form. He had already figured out that he had wings he could use, so what other changes could be hiding within him? He had to figure it out. At the age of 17, he began trying to change into his demon form. He worked and worked on trying to figure it out. It hurt to try it. It made his whole body feel like it was engulfed in flames, but he persisted until finally, one late night, he changed into his demon form. And that’s the last thing he remembers.

When Grim’s consciousness returned to him, back in his human form, he found his whole town ablaze, everyone dead. He searched for his mother, but, of course, she was gone as well. He didn’t know what had happened. All he knew was that everyone was dead, and it was his fault. He fled as far as he could until he found a car. He stole the car and kept going. He continued to run for many long years, never staying in any one place too long for fear of someone connecting him to the death and destruction in his home town and for fear of doing it again. Finally, he came upon Sanctuary, and he made it his home.
