Human Description of General Appearance: Elliot is tall, standing at 6'2". He weighs about 180 lbs and, though he is not extremely muscular, his body is well toned and fit. He always stands tall and can usually be found wearing simple, casual clothing like a long sleeve shirt and jeans. However, especially when dealing with serious matter, he will typically dress up for the occasion. He typically has a short, trimmed beard and mustache.

Shifter Description of General Appearance: Even in his lion form, Elliot is a bit taller than most. He is large, perhaps intimidating, but his facial features lend more to wisdom and acceptance. During his shift, his eyes change to a hazel color, perhaps due to his connection to his True Mate.

What brought you to Three Valleys? As the Shifters began moving north from Mexico and South America, Elliot and Emberly's Pack's home was right in their path. They were located near the Ironwood Armadillo Clan, just outside of Pheonix. As a Clan of African Lions, the area was a perfect fit for their homeland, considering they didn't mind the heat. Elliot had prepared himself to serve at Emberly's side as she took her rightful place as matriarch, following in the path set forth by her mother.

However, when a group of Lions came north from Mexico, from the Sonoran Desert, everything changed. They heard rumors a local Lion Pack, strong but small, and wanted to seize control of the prime territory that was their home. They were uninterested in coexisting, and, as such, fighting broke out between the Lion Packs. The Pack in which Elliot was raised was peaceful for the most part, far from the greatest warriors. They never stood a chance against the more combative Sonoran Lions.

His pack was massacred in the take over, and very few survived. Those that did, fled. Elliot and Emberly fled to Three Valleys in the hopes of finding sanctuary from the dangers that led to the death of their families. He isn't sure if there were other survivors from the take over, and, if there were, he doesn't know where they might have gone, but he hopes that others might reemerge in the Three Valleys.

Love History:  Elliot's True Mate is a Lion Shifter named Emberly. Even from childhood, they were inseparable, and that has continued throughout their lives. Their Clan knew that they were destined to be True Mates and encouraged their relationship. They married straight out of high school, marked one another as True Mates, and, since, have lived with a deep sense of love for one another.

  1. If your character walked into a bar where the bartender was being robbed at gunpoint what would your Shifter do?
    • He would assess the situation, the dangers, and the lives at risk, and, if he determined he could do so without risking the lives of others, he would approach and disarm the gunman.

  2. If your character saw a Shifter cub wandering into a busy street after a ball, what would your Shifter do?
    • He would pull the child out of the street as quickly as he could, or, if he was too late to remove the child from the street, he would take the impact of the possible collision. Children are the future, especially now, and need to be protected at all costs.

  3. Your Shifter is participating in an athletic event and comes in second to another Shifter how do they react?
    • He would admire the skill of the Shifter who bested him and congratulate them. He would also, likely, offer them a place in the pack depending on the athlete's own mentality.

  4. Your Shifter is in the middle of an important negotiation when the person in charge of the meeting suddenly collapses with a heart attack- what would be your Shifter's first reaction?
    • He would first and foremost assist in helping the person, seeking out aspirin to give the person and asking for others in the room to call for medical services while asking someone trained to do so to give CPR. Though, as soon as the individual was tended to, he would demand to speak to the person's second in command to finish the negotiations.

  5. Your Shifter has been unjustly arrested for disorderly conduct and is thrown in General Holding.  There are seven large men or women in the cell with you.  What does your character do?
    • He would hold his head high, not asserting dominance but making it clear he had no fear of the others. He would then attempt to carefully converse with the others. It is possible, if he was unjustly arrested, that the others might have been as well, and he would attempt to glean that information from the others, though he is smart enough to know not to take their words at face value.


Personality Details:

Personality: Elliot is fiercely protective, first and foremost. He will always do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of his Pack, especially his True Mate, Emberly. While this protective instinct has always been a part of him, it has grown exponentially since the fall of Elliot and Emberly's original Pack. Because of this, he is fairly reserved around those he doesn't know. Only after he has determined that a person is not a major threat will Elliot open himself to enjoying the company of others. However, when he does open himself up, he is a very loving, caring individual who is happy to see those he cares about with a smile on their face. He enjoys sharing a laugh with others, telling stories, and creating stories to tell later, but he is always ready to switch into the protective Alpha when he needs to. He also has a strong soft spot for children, often finding himself perhaps over protective of them and always willing to join in a game of hide and seek.

Strengths: Elliot is cautious, sensible, and protective. These would easily be considered his biggest strengths, and he relies on them daily as an Alpha. They help him to keep his pack and his mate out of harm's way. He is also very level-headed and, in most instances, not very quick to anger, always willing to hear out others so long as they are not currently providing a threat.

Weaknesses: His biggest weakness would likely be his deep love for those that he is close to. If he were to find himself unable to protect the pack or his mate, he would not deal with that well, likely turning to anger and frustration at himself. There is a part of him still trying to cope with the loss of his original Pack, and any inability to protect is a reminder of it.

Fears: Elliot fears failing to protect his pack and his mate. He also fears not living up to the expectations of an Alpha.

Background/History: Elliot grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the first of three children in his family, the other two being twins, a boy and a girl, about five years younger than himself. His parents were the Beta Male and Female of the pack. They served as the right hands to Emberly's parents.

His parents were strict as they raised him, but they were also exceptionally caring individuals. From an early age, Elliot learned from his father the importance of protecting the pack and what he needed to do to be a productive member of the pack. As his shifter abilities began to manifest and he underwent his first shift, his father was there for him and helped him to adjust, creating a close bond between father and son. As his siblings approached their first shifts, Elliot helped them through as his father had done for him.

Even as a child, he felt a pull towards the daughter of the Alphas of his pack, Emberly. At the time, he was too young to really realize what the pull was or what that would mean for his future. They were always together, growing extremely close. The pack knew long before they did that they were destined to be True Mates. As he grew older and realized what it would mean to be her True Mate, that he would one day be Alpha alongside her, he was determined to learn all he could to protect her and ensure that her reign as matriarch would be a peaceful one. As they went through high school, they became determined to seal their lives together by marking each other. Once they graduated, they held their wedding with a special ceremony as they mark each other in human form. They then spent the night in the desert in their lion forms, finalizing the seal on their bond by marking each other under the twinkling night sky.

After high school, Elliot continued on to earn a business degree in college while Emberly worked on her medical training. While he was more focused on her education, he chose to seek a versatile degree that would allow him to support their pack as best he could, no matter what should happen. He was in the process of earning his masters degree when the Gray Plague hit.

Elliot was mentored by his father. His father taught him how to properly use his abilities and how to be one with his animal spirit and helped him through his first shift. As Elliot grew closer and closer to Emberly, his father also did his best to prepare him for the responsibilities he was likely to one day have at her side. He taught him how to protect others and did his best to teach him the qualities of a leader.

Education: Elliot graduated college with a business degree and was working on his masters. He chose this field for its versatility, as well as the leadership skills he learned from classes based around management.
