Physical Description:

Kader is a physically imposing man, just over six feet tall and heavily built, with a tanned complexion, a little black stubble on his shaved bald head and a short beard that he is still trying to perfect the art of trimming neatly. His eyes are dark brown and intelligent looking, with the constantly flickering wariness that so many have these days. Keen observers will notice that he is missing the ends of both is ring finger and little finger on his left hand, the result of some historical injury as they seem to have healed over fully now, though they are sometimes a little sensitive if he touches something.

He wears a mismatch of military uniforms and gear, currently a Czech Woodland vz.95 pattern combat jacket, a Hungarian M1949/82 pattern combat trousers and Russian Army combat boots with a US Army issue Kevlar Vest over the top and a US Army issue Kevlar Helmet on his head. Topping all of that off is an assault vest of indeterminate origin and the AKS-74 rifle with an extended magazine that he usually carries.

Background:

Kader, or Bull as he is often called by his comrades, was born in Hackney, London in 1966, a few weeks after England won the 1966 Football World Cup Final, to a second generation Turkish Cypriot father (Metin Bulutoglulari) and an English mother (Tracy Bulutoglulari, nee Baker) who was originally from Basildon in Essex. As the eldest son he was named Kader after his paternal grandfather and given his father's name as a middle name. When registering his birth however, his father decided to add Bobby as a second middle name in recognition of his favourite player at West Ham, Bobby Moore, who had just lifted the World Cup trophy.

There was a strong Turkish Cypriot ex-pat community in Hackney so Kader grew up with a lot of extended family as well as friends around him. It was a happy childhood but by the time he finished school at 16 he wanted to do something more with his life than just stay in Hackney. The Falklands War had just occurred and Kader had been glued to the news reports on the TV. Someone told him that the toughest troops were the Marines and so he signed up in 1983 when he was seventeen.

Basic training was extremely tough but he survived it. In fact he loved it. Despite his father's love of West Ham and football in general, Kader was one of those kids at school who was fit and athletic without showing any real talent for any particular sport. He liked taking part but just wasn't any good at any of them. In the Marines though he found his element. Being fit and athletic was what he excelled at that made him perfect for the RMC to mould into a solid and reliable Marine. He didn't finish top in his intake but he was near the top.

When he was assigned to 42 Commando however he found it very strange. Almost everyone there had seen active duty in the Falklands War and they had the kind of bond between them that kept new recruits on the outside. It therefore took him a long time to feel integrated and he moved around roles during his first few years, serving in both a Regular Company as a rifleman and a machine gunner and in the Support Company as a mortarman and a machine gunner once again. Eventually, after a few years, he found his niche with tours of Northern Ireland and Belize as well as the Gulf War, though he never saw any action there, being posted onto a Royal Navy ship in the Gulf to beef up their boarding party.
