Ceryna Vantellon

More of "pleasant" appearance than truly pretty, Lady Ceryna Vantellon stands of average height and figure, with medium-brown hair worn at a sensible shoulder length.  Her only two adornments of apparent value are the 7-pointed silver star she wears around her neck -- a symbol of her devotion to Mystra -- and an opal-capped signet ring engraved with the symbol for House Vantelli of Waterdeep.

When serving in a clerical capacity, her outer vestment is the embroidered blue and white silk cloak common to all acolytes of Mystra's order.  Otherwise, her usual garb is modest.  While well-made and well-fitted, her clothing tends to practical, common fabrics dyed in colors less ostentatious (and far less expensive) than most Waterdhavian nobles might prefer. On rare occasion, she wears the more traditional finery of her house, although seldom in the most current style.  Whether this apparent frugality is a chosen affectation, or the result of a limited purse, is unknown...and probably impolite to ask.

Despite Lady Ceryna's pleasantly mundane outer-appearance, the symbol of Mystra and the Vantelli signet ring grant the Cleric a measure of respect in Waterdeep and its environs, often strengthened by her grace of manner and speech both of which suggest a "noblesse oblige" that can be quite striking.
