As a pretty redhead, Jean gets attention... whether she wants it or not.  She's not tall or statuesque, but she does have an IT factor... that quiet control of oneself and surroundings.  Jean is also a very genuine person and when she smiles, it means something.  Jean isn't into excessive extravagance, but knows well the value of money.

With secret abilities in a dog eat dog world, she wears a few different masks.  Demure country girl, Damsel in distress, and more famously... The Amazing Marvel Girl.  Jean doesn't consider herself a trailblazer, but a woman of her powers just happens to get things done.  She also hates to see suffering and while Jean can't fix everything... she can nudge events or create chances.

Not many people (outside close associates) know much about Jean.  She just turned up a few years ago and has been making her mark as a performer.  Maybe she was orphaned?  Disowned?  However those associated with Charles Xavier know her as a former student of his.
