History: In the early morning hours, just after her high school graduation, in the early days of the summer of love, Maggie Jacobs slipped into the back of her best friend"s VW bus and disappeared from her parent's triple-decker in Southie for three long months. She returned in mid September, strung out on hallucinogenic drugs, with a bun in the oven and no clue who the father might be. She named her child Jack and raised him on the second floor of her parents home while working as a saucy waitress at the famous Durgin-Park restaurant where her penchant for dark humor served her well.

Jack grew up on the tough streets of Southie in the late 70s and early 80s. He put himself through Bunker Hill Community College hawking hot dogs at Fenway Park. He finished his education in Environmental Science at Umass Amherst playing harmonica in a party band that performed at fraternities and sororities at the many nearby campuses. In Amherst, he found a love for the outdoors and got involved with the Amherst Sportsmen's Club. It was here where he learned how to fish, shoot and hunt.

After earning his Masters degree he started working as a consultant on infrastructure projects. He moved to the suburbs of Denver in 1999 and continued working primarily on railroad projects and took on part time work as a lecturer at The Community College of Denver. While working at the College he joined and maintained a faculty leadership role in a Baritsu club. He remained quite enthusiastic with club activities until the outbreak of the virus.
