Description: Able is a chimpanzee genetically modified in an experiment by Mr. Campbell's father, Dr. Thomas Campbell. He was Mr. Campbell's companion for many, many years and is often characterized as Mr. Campbell's monkey butler by the media. Having known Mr. Campbell since he was a boy, his loyalty to Mr. Campbell was unquestionable. Able may also have been one of the few people that Mr. Campbell trusted implicitly and could actually call a friend. Able is exceptionally intelligent, well-read and well-spoken. He acted as Mr. Campbell's faithful assistant for decades and served as the butler of Daedalus Academy, managing the day to day affairs of running the estate.

Able resembles a large, male chimpanzee with black fur, that has begun to grey considerably in recent years especially around his face. He almost always wears a pair of round spectacles, as well as a suit and tie, including pants, but without shoes. His suits are typically brown with a colorful tie in a blue and red pattern. These days he also uses a simple wooden cane to get around and walks with a slight limp.

Able speaks English fluently, as well as Spanish, French, German and bits of Cantonese and Japanese. He has a generally calm demeanor and seemingly endless patience, rarely ever raising his voice or yelling. Growing up, Able was ever present at Mr. Campbell's side to aid him with whatever needed to be done.
