Appearance:

A tall and muscular man with long sandy couloured hair. He has intense eyes and a disarming smile. He has a confident stride and demeanor. His voice is a rich, slightly low baratone. He dresses in light leather armor, preferring dark colours.

Scent Profile:

Generally human-smelling (Though probably quite sweaty at the start of the game), there is nethertheless a second subtle scent, meaty and animalistic but at the same time reminiscent of cinnamon.

Personality:

Zakaresh can sometimes come across as serious minded and thoughtful. However he does have a kind nature and can be quite passionate about things he has an emotional investment in. He tends to have a protective streak and can be a champion of the downtrodden.

Abilities/Skills:

He is very agile but not to athelete level. His hand to eye co-ordination is good, especially with a bow. He likes to keep himself in shape.

Being host to a Xian-xi he has the ability to heal himself at a faster rate than normal humans. His symbiont also gives him the ability to heal others by touch, as well as having the ability to 'bond' with a single subject, allowing for telepathic communication between both him and the bonded recipient. He can feel their pain, sense when they are in danger and pinpoint their approximate location.

He is a skilled Teranaur rider and has an affinity for training and handling animals, especially reptiles.

History:

Ulaxia is a world in many ways like Earth but also vastly alien. No-one remembers when or how the first humans came there. Some say they travelled through the vastness of space, pursued by some cosmic horror that had consumed their home. Their technolgy and culture are now lost in the sands of time.

Zakaresh hailed from the kingdom of Dorgeth, in the northwest plains where he trained as an advanced scout for the flying army of the King. He excelled in becoming a rider of Teranaurs, vast winged two headed reptiles native to Ulaxia. It was whilst on a scouting mission that his mount became ensnared by the Gate, He struggled to maintain control of his mount as they were sucked into the eye of the vast, unnatural vortex. When they were spat out again tgey fell from the sky, his mount's wings torn. The brave beast managed to slow its descent, saving its master's life, but no laying on of hands could stop it from dying of its,wounds.

Now Zakaresh finds himself stranded in an alien world.

Other information:

The Xian-xi is a symbiotic organism native to Ulaxi. Posessing no sentience of its own, this small, worm like being infiltrates a host body through the skin, stretching itself out throughout the host's central nervous system. It gives a host the ability to heal faster than normal and it can allow a host to heal by touch. Xian-xi reproduce by combining their host dna with their own and with the dna of a secondary 'donor' that is biologically compatible with the host. The DNA is transferred during sexual union between host and secondary donor which creates a bond. The side effect is that bonded donor and host share a telepathic / empathic link. The host and donor can feel when each other is in distress or danger and can pinpoint each other's exact location.

The eggs produced by the Xian-xi during the union are secreted in the hosts sweat.

Humans often harvest the eggs in order to cultivate Xian-xi larvae to infect new hosts as they give obvious benefits to their hosts.
