Persona: Isabella has always been driven to excel, something she attributes to the strong work ethic instilled in her from her family.  When she decides what she wants, nothing and no one will stand in her way. Some could see this as aggressive, she sees it as not wasting time on the inconsequential. However she is not cruel or malicious,in fact she loves being around people and making sure they are happy. She’s always been a people-pleaser but not a pushover. If anything, some could say she’s compensating for her shorter stature, to which she’d gladly stand on a chair and explain why they’re wrong, in the politest way possible.

Description: Despite being part of a large family, Isabella has always been teased about having the shortest stature in her family, standing at just 5’3”. Despite, or perhaps because of the lifelong teasing, she refuses to be overlooked. In her teen years that meant loud colors and louder hair. As an adult, she prefers to assert her presence by being well put together. Dress slacks or skirts, silk blouses, blazers, and her ever present high heels. She keeps her make-up and jewelry simple and classy, even on her days off. Though even without the make-up, her big brown eyes are a prominent feature. Her black hair is kept short, easy to style and maintain during the long days. The red undertones are natural and stand out when she spends a lot of time in the sun. She’s toned, though not really muscular, thanks to her ever present need to be on the move but not having time to hit the gym.

History:
Isabella was born and raised in Miami, Florida, specifically in Little Havana. Her great-grandparents were part of the mass immigration from Cuba to Florida in the late ‘50’s and early ‘60’s. Since immigrating, her family has had a firm foundation in the service industry of Miami, with a number of family owned restaurants and stores. She has always had a deep pride in her family’s history and roots.

Her family is very close knit, not just she and her three siblings but the extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. All of whom live in close proximity and gather frequently. Isabella's parents, Maria and Alejandro, worked tirelessly to provide for their children. They encouraged Isabella and her siblings to pursue their passions and dreams. Isabella, in particular, was drawn to the idea of connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, a passion she attributed to her family's immigrant experience.

After graduating from a local high school as valedictorian, Isabella earned a scholarship to attend University of Miami. There, she studied management and global business, with the intention of going into hotel management for international hotels. Upon graduation, she was hired into a fast-track management program for the IHG chain of hotels and resorts.  While she enjoyed the challenge and meeting the wide variety of people, she wanted to see something beyond Miami. When a position aboard the Pearl Princess cruise ship became available, she leapt at the chance.
