Phyllis is a young actress, born in Britain, who moved to America when she was 18 to try to break into movies. After appearing as a few background characters, she has recently appeared in her first major role as Jane in Tarzan of the Jungle, a low-budget non-MGM Tarzan film. [OOC: There really was a rights confusion in the era, with several studios putting out Tarzan films. Only the MGM ones are remembered, probably for good reason.] She has some acting skill, but she was mostly cast for her swimming ability and, frankly, how she looked in the pre-code costume. She's now hoping to capitalise on this success.

Her wavy blonde hair is worn long and loose, deliberately avoiding the usual fashionable styles to get attention and remind some people of her biggest role to date. She often wears broad-brimmed hats.

She's currently shooting a sort-of sequel to the Tarzan film, called Jane in the Jungle, but an on-set accident has brought that temporarily to a halt.
