The Eshaq is a medium sized merchant caravel that requires a minimum crew of 8 to run, although it normally sails with a compliment of 25. They usually carry daggers and are unarmoured during their day-to-day activities, but if pirates or corsairs attack they quickly take up their boarding axes and defend the ship.
