Kira Cerise O'Neill was a woman of many talents, but she always knew that her true calling lay among the stars. Her mother, a poet, tried to teach her the old stories and the ways of music, but Kira had other plans. At the age of 18, she stowed away on an transport ship and headed for the nearest Scout base where she applied to be an Explorer. She spent the next four years honing her skills and learning the ways of the stars.

But fate had other plans for Kira. During her time as a Scout, disaster struck. Her ship was damaged in a mishap, and Kira was forced to hitch-hike her way back across the stars to the nearest scout base. Although the experience left her with some new friends and even more enemies, it also taught her a valuable lesson in resourcefulness and survival.

Undaunted by her setback, Kira decided to try her hand at piracy. She joined a crew of raiders and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a skilled gunner and a daring pilot. Her crimes paid off, but she also made enemies along the way.

Still, Kira's thirst for adventure was unquenched. She continued the merry ways of a pirate, surviving dangerous missions and reaping the rewards. She came into unexpected money, gained new skills, loved, caroused, and even spent months in the criminal underworld.

By the time Kira reached the age of 34, she had served four terms and achieved the rank of Sergeant as a pirate. As a pilot, she excels at reckless maneuvers at high speed, and she despises safe and routine flights. Kira is a woman born to fly among the stars, and nothing will ever keep her grounded.

Appearance: Kira is a very attractive redhead with freckles and bright green eyes. She carries a small amber bear charm on her left wrist which she claims makes her fly better, and the right side of her neck has a delicate metallic tattoo of a leaping salmon.
