Adelina was born in Tortage, the pirate haven of the Barachan Isles. She was the daughter of Zingaran harlot Rosalia and unknown father(s). Fast and agile, she was first owned by Dario the pearl dealer who had her diving for pearls in the tropical waters.

When the dealer died of fever years later, Adelina was sold off to an Argossian smuggler, Barachus, captain of the Restless Maiden. He kept her chained to his cabin bed, and she nearly drowned when the Maiden sunk while transporting contraband from Argos to Stygia. She managed to escape and spent many days at sea, until she washed on the shores of Argos.

There she was bought by an Argossean nobleman, Lord Gordius, who became totally infatued with her. Adelina spent the most comfortable year of her life as the pampered concubine of a wealthy man, until disaster struck again: forced by circumstances and with obvious reluctance (Adelina never learned if it was mere need for money or some political intrigue), one day Lord Gordius abruptly handed her to a team of slavers, thus ending her comfortable tenure as his pleasure slave.

The slavers took Adelina far to the Border Kingdom, where she was one of fives unfortunates sold to a mysterious Khitan lady...

Currently she's completely naked, unwashed for a month.
