Physical Description:  Kari stands at a whopping 5’3” and weighs 115. She can usually be found in comfortable clothes, preferring jeans and tee’s or tanks and darker clothes as they stand up better to working with dirt and plants. She may seem small and easily forgotten, often confused as a wallflower and shy when really, she would rather just watch what is going on before interacting.

Distinguishing Features: Kari has a series of vines tattooed up her right arm. She also always wears a necklace with a locket at the end.

Personality: Kari is a watcher. She doesn’t always interact well with peopled, leaning more towards the awkward side. She chooses who she might like to get to know before ever approaching anyone. She is often seen as a wallflower, but once she opens up, there is a brightness to her that her past doesn’t quite match. She is often found talking to the plants around her, as plants have never let her down.

Personal Goals: Kari wants to grow plants that have herbal benefits. She had learned already that she’s got some skill in keeping plants alive, but also convincing them to thrive.

Likes: Kari loves sitting among trees, thunderstorms, and reading.

Dislikes: Kari can’t stand people that try to use her, that treat others poorly, manipulators, or anyone that doesn’t respect plant life at least to some extent.

History: Kari was found on the steps of a fire station and grew up in the foster care system, moving from one house to the next every few months to a year. She was rarely in the same place long, and often had to leave so much behind each time. She had to rely on herself, and was often let down by people who were supposed to protect her. Sometimes, those same people hurt her and other kids they were supposed to be taking care of. She learned she could manipulate plants at 17 when her foster dad came into her room in the middle of the night to have his way with her. She pulled vines through the windows to wrap around him while she ran. Luckily, she was the only kid in the house at that time. She was on her own for a few years, which is probably why it took so long for the invitation to Brakebills to reach her. She didn’t have any other prospects at the time, and decided to try the school to see what doors it would open up for her.

Random Fact About the Player: I work on an ambulance as an EMT! (This becomes important when writing with me because I can usually get at least a post a day in, but sometimes I’m unable due to this fact.)
