Physical Traits: Striking eyes, a light beard and a willowy frame. Not all that uncommon for the North.

Attire: Traditional northern doublet, black with silver fasteners and a maroon cape over one shoulder. Exchanged with a full maroon cloak and gray fur mantle in cold weather.

In battle, wears the leather and plate common to Northern cavalry, save for his right pauldron being stylized into a red wyvern coiled in on itself. His late brother wore the opposite pauldron, the last pieces of House Icemark's ancestral bronze armor (most of it lost during the Wildling sack of Icewell decades prior).

History: The youngest Icemark of his generation, Alaric is also the last male member of the bloodline. The fourth child, he grew up distant from his siblings. His eldest sister was already married and in the Westerlands when he was born, his brother wed before Alaric was 10, and the younger Icemark daughter died young, during childbirth.

Although he eventually fostered a decent relationship with his brother, Alaric grew up much closer to Ser Roderick, for whom he even squired until his knighting after the Siege of Pyke.

After that, the young knight became a rare sight at Icewell. LORD and Mara had little need for another man-at-arms, his nieces and nephews were growing up, and there was a great big world to see.

Ser Alaric... Saw it. He visited each of the Free Cities at least once, fought in tourneys -- lost most, won a few -- and wandered Westeros as a knight errant. He even crossed blades with a few legends, including Ser Jaime Lannister in a tourney at King's Landing.

The Kingslayer soundly thrashed him, needless to say.

Then Eddard Stark was accused of treason, Robb Stark called the banners, and Ser Alaric Icemark had a reason to go home. He rode to war beside his brother and his nephews, leading the Icewell army.

But King Robb and the Starks have been murdered, Roose Bolton has been named Warden of the North, and Ser Alaric is the only son of House Icemark to come riding home.
