Nu

Baroness Tanith de Severine is known among the people of Western Belrand for many things, but most often for her beauty. Her porcelain skin doesn't burn, her light brown hair is kept short and always decorated with a ribbon somewhere, and her round chin, her bosom and her long legs have all inspired sonnets from admirers and bards of very dubious quality. But it's her smile that makes the day's cares just melt away, especially when she turns her head and closes her eyes a little along with it. She's also never without a light perfume, be it of flowers or jasmine.

The first time Tanith became known to Belrand was when she purchased her title of nobility with the proceeds from a shipload of silk and spice. Since then, she has lived the life of a minor noble, socializing and dancing at balls and festivals now and then and funding such a life with her mercantile investments, loans, and shipping insurance. If she only gets regular invitations from nobles who are in her debt, well, she was a commoner less than a decade ago, and that's most of the nobility of the West by now. She's one of the leading partners of the mercantile Western Consortium.

Baroness de Severine is known to be a kind-hearted lady with a good sense of humor, but a bit ditzy and socially-inept. She spends most of her time either with her nose in a book or entertaining herself with fine food and beautiful women, mixing in a hunt every now and then to keep in shape. Her taste in food is seen as uncultured; she prefers a good beer over fine wine, and is less concerned about fancy culinary theories than she is about large quantities of delicious food. She works as little as possible, and people often wonder how someone like her struck it rich so young; most say that she's infernally lucky.

Nu is small for an Elder Dragon, maybe an anaconda's length but much wider around. She has no arms or claws, but manipulates objects around her through telekinesis. Her eyes and scales are sea-blue, almost invisible in the Aegir she calls her home.

"What's there to tell about me? I have walked among mortals for a thousand years, have hidden in plain view and assumed new identities as it please me, and only occasionally returned to the sea of my birth to live as a dragon or battle a weaker Leviathan for sport. Tanith is merely one of my thousand masks, though I confess that I'm growing rather fond of being her. It's a lot of fun, manipulating people by playing the idiot."

"Telling you my personality would bore you, I'm sure. Just know that when I say something, it is the absolute truth and should always be heeded most closely. I would never lead you astray to benefit my own schemes."
