Name: Siurinax    |    Mediorthas


Appearance:

Mediorthas appears to be a tall man in his upper fifties.  His well-cut, ornately decorated robes - and his sizeable but still new-looking money pouch - clearly proclaim him to be a very successful merchant.  His hair is mostly grey and white, though some of the "original" black still shows through in patches.  His deep-set eyes are the dark green of the deep forest and so vivid they almost seem to have something grow in them as you stare at them.  The clearness of his eyes and the sureness of his stride suggest that the old businessman has many more productive years ahead of him.

Siurinax is a trim dragon without the massive bulkiness that the strongest of their kind are known for, nor does he radiate the deadly aura of malice that comes from others.  He appears to be made entirely of purple quartz, except his eyes, which are unfathomably golden as they peering out from within the cave of his crystalline eyelids.  The beautifully round crystals that form the tips of his wings and the claws of his feet look like the would deeply wound if used to attack ... but show almost no sign of use.


Personality:

Siurinax is quick to make a joke, but never at the expense of the innocent, and he works hard to bring joy to the lives of others.  Compassionate and curious, Siurinax is driven to explore all of creation in pursuit of his drives. His compassion does know some bounds, though: first, he is not compassionate to the loss of rationality - he will not let his desire to help others drive him to reveal his nature or unduly risk his life.  Second, he is not so compassionate that he will not occasionally talk over-much on a topic that interests him, without noticing that others are not quite so interested in it as he is.


Recent History:

For a number of years now, Siurinax has been masquerading as Mediorthas - a reasonably well-to-do merchant who has the reputation for being a very effective businessman.  Rumor is that he's caused numerous small businesses to rally from near-collapse to rousing success.  Other rumors - said only by the most bold, or others when he's not around - say that he's also caused the collapse of more than one larger, reputedly corrupt conglomerate.


What your character's goals are:

Siurinax wants to make things grow.  No, nothing so mundane as plants.  People, organizations, perhaps worlds.  He wants to heal the wounded bits, cauterize the wounds that won't heal, cut off the dead bits, and see the whole bloom fruitfully.
