Edric Salle

Educated, driven and upstanding have been used to describe the young teacher Edric Salle. Warrior, slayer, occultist; Less than a year ago words like this were only heard in books, plays and romantic recitations of battles in distant land.

Life changed for Edric last winter as a not-soon-forgotten experience with a succubus introduced him to the men and women of the order, the underguard.

The son of a teacher, Edric stands unimpressive in physical stature and family renown. He inherited his deep-set brown eyes and dark hair from his father, and his pale skin and slender frame from his mother.

His father has and still serves as teacher to the heirs of some of the more connected families of London. His mother has passed. He has no siblings.

Through his studies at Oxford he has built a small network giving him access to various speakers of foreign languages and well stocked libraries. He carrys no heirlooms or trinkets, but is a compulsive note-taker, stocking his hunting bag with inks and implements in addition to the normal hunting kit.

Edric currently hunts for the underguard, but desires the life of a keeper. Frederik Riser, a senior member of the order and caretaker of their library in London, is Edric's mentor. In exchange, Edric gathers frontline knowledge, always looking to answer questions and stock the orders collection of lore.

Although well versed in English, Latin and French, Edric is considered too young and junior to hold a sedentary position while there are still hunts to be had.

A local of the area, Edric calls London home.

Upon returning to London from his schooling up north, Edric stopped at a poorly regarded inn in the country side, which as he now knows, had a reason for its poor reception. A succubus had intended to add him to her ranks of thralls. Edric was lucky enough to have been victimized on the very night a hunter raid was planned.

Recruited or captured by the Underguard, he still isnt entirely sure of their original intentions, but what he did learn that night is that things exist in this universe that man has yet to explain. It was when he slew one of the charmed thralls, when he saw whatever essence of the world beyond seep from the crumpled body, his life had been changed. His desire to understand overtook him and when the hunters beheaded the demon, pushed him out the burning inn and commanded him to follow, he found it easy to oblige.
