Born in July 23^th 1602, Etienne d’Isgrace is the firstborn son of a prostitute in one of the lowest bawdyhouses of Marseille. Grown in Marseille’s slums, he has been involved in gangs since he may remember.

After his younger brother’s death in a gangs fight, and spending some months in jail, a priest showed him the wrong ways he was in, and he has decided to leave for Paris in the hope of making some fortune to take his mother from this low job and to avoid his younger sister to end up likewise.
