Ethan Summerswift

Ethan is a well-dressed and well-groomed gentleman who might have originated from some average house within the wide merchant caste. An insightful person might surmise that he studied good manners and considerate behavior as an adult rather than during childhood.  The bridge of his nose is no longer quite straight ...and clearly speaks to his youth as being more 'rough and tumble'. Certainly more than the refinement he's trying to imitate.

His clothes are tailored to fit but are hardly reflective of the latest fashion.  A suit designed to last ...rather than one made to attract the eye. Rings on his fingers flash and may speak to him having had wealth... once in the past. But even these signs of wealth speak to him have met with hard times more recently.  a small gem or two is missing on this ring or that, depending on how observant the player.

His watchful gaze seems to rake in details like coins after a winning hand of cards. He's not so talkative that he reveals sufficient details about his life 'before'. Ethan tends to stand where he can't be easily overlooked but he's uneasy even as he does so. Like it's his greater habit to be unnoticed, something he's trying to break himself of.

Almost too tall to be average, Ethan wears his hair short. Excluding, his oiled (brown) coat, he wears darker hues of blue almost exclusively. Against that color, his few bits of silver jewelry will draw the eye. As does the singled edged bell cutlass* at his waist.
Other items of odd note include.
A pair of leather gloves he mostly chooses not to wear.
A silver hooked topped cane that he leans on with little regularity.
The flash of an indeterminate coin that slips between nimble fingers while he thinks.
Lastly, an amulet chain, covered in leather so each link won't 'clink'. Long enough to wrap multip times around his forearm. Long enough to be too heavy to be comfortably worn around anyone's neck. At one end of its length, a polished brass disk with the holy symbols of Fate pressed on side and Destiny pressed on the other.

* A long sword by any other name.
