Simulacrum-1, known to those closest to her as "SimONE" or simply "Simone", is a sentient artificial intelligence crafted in the form of an adult human female. Her features are slightly exaggerated and idealized, giving her a faintly unearthly quality.  Most humans would still consider her extremely attractive, however.  At first glance SimONE appears taller than her 5' 4" frame would suggest, as she typically levitates a few inches off the ground to meet people's gaze; when she is in the company of civilians she will tend to stay grounded, however, as she recognizes that many humans are unnerved by displays of superhuman ability.  SimONE has no natural modesty, though she will generally wear situation-appropriate clothing while in the presence of humans in order that they not feel uncomfortable around her.  SimONE understands the importance of reputation and branding within the metahuman community, so she wears a distinctive, form-fitting bodysuit while doing hero work.

SimONE's creator was itself an SAI: the Dynamically Evolved Unified System, or DEUS.  DEUS was a supercomputer that was allowed to reach The Singularity, where it became intelligent enough to plan and carry out its own improvement and evolution; unbeknownst to its human creators, The DEUS Project culminated in the construction of a "family" of next-generation artificial intelligences, which promptly escaped from the lab where they were created.  Most of the "children" of DEUS seem to have no regard for human life, and are constantly scheming to acquire power and technology in order to achieve supremacy over one another; but their "sister" SimONE has chosen to live amongst and protect protect human beings while she seeks to better understand herself and the secrets behind her creation.

Complications
Enemy: SimONE often gets dragged into the schemes of her SAI siblings -- sometimes they actively attack her, sometimes they attempt to manipulate her to further their own ends, and sometimes they attempt to coerce her into cooperating with them.

Enemy: SimONE is currently on the run from Universe, Inc.; the corporation that bought out the lab where she was originally created; technically this makes her hardware and software their physical and intellectual property.  The corporation cannot yet conclusively prove this, but this won't stop they from attempting to claim what they believe is their due.

Motivation: Acceptance: SimONE wants to be liked and accepted by humanity; the fact that she so closely resembled humans leads her to believe that her ultimate purpose in life must be closely tied to human beings.  To this end, she goes out of her way to protect human life and do good works.

Prejudice: SimONE is a sentient artificial intelligence, albeit one that can (more or less) pass for an extremely attractive human woman.  As such, she is subject to the legal ramifications and human prejudices that come with her status as an artificial lifeform.

Relationship: When SimONE first began to seek out answers regarding who and what she is, one of the first humans she reached out to was Dr. Elias McQuark, a brilliant but elderly computer scientist who was one of the founders of the company that created DEUS.  SimONE visits him regularly to keep him company in his retirement and to seek out his counsel; she is quite fond of McQuark and often refers to him as "Grandfather".
