Herodian is a half-elven magic-user and cleric of Boccob. His mother did not survive his birth so he was raised by his Mother's sister. Their brother, Sir Cal protected him while he was growing up, knowing that he would face challenges among the elves because of his human heritage.

He met Azad some years ago in the _______ library. They discovered they had a mutual interest in researching new spells and have collaborated to some extent; although, their efforts have yet to bear fruit.

Having been an adventurer since his early twenties he has had occasion to work with Salenth Ravanys, the cleric of St. Cuthbert, and the dwarven fighter, Lumwick, on a previous adventure.
