Pale and fine-boned, La'ashi looks positively fragile at a glance, and especially so in bright light, when her broad cheekbones make her face look gaunt and her veins show blue through thin skin.  The same frosty blue shows up in her eyes and in the undertones of her hair—black like raven feathers, almost iridescent in the light.  But she carries herself with exuberance, not delicacy, and her skin is uncommonly warm to the touch.

But night, really, is better for her.  When the light is dim, it's easier to focus on the catlike grace of her movements, or the way her eyes glitter in any light they can catch.  When shadows are less sharp, her collarbones aren't as obvious as the swell of her breasts.  Broad, gently curving hips can distract from the outline of a rib or two.  Full, dark lips are visible; hollow cheeks are not.  She looks more alive, at night.
