A short and wiry man with a close-trimmed dark beard, Jaxom wears a battered armored void suit. A clumsy piece and of dubious value against modern armaments, he nevertheless values it for its ability to fend of sumpfall and wellup. His shield is equally battered, its broken handle making parrying difficult, in fact all of his gear may be described as old, worn,  barely functional or all three. His pack is held together by baling wire and tape, his pistol has a habit of chewing on cartridges rather than spitting them properly out, his lamp requires the frequent application of impact engineering to jar corroded contacts back into place, etc, etc.  He prizes clean water and food above all else, occasionally converting loot into large quantities of both for uncertain purpose.
