Known Background: Ralph grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and after collage joined the US Army in 1957. After a stint as an infantry platoon commander stateside, Ralph first served in Vietnam from 1961-1963 as an intelligence officer. After rotating back to the United States, he then joined US Army Special Forces before returning to Vietnam as a Green Beret. In 1971 during his second tour in Vietnam as a Green Beret, a land mine blew off Ralph’s right leg, right arm, and the right side of his face was heavily scared.

Ralph spent over a year in a crappy veteran’s hospital recovering before being recruited by UNIT where his limbs were replaced with cybernetic ones. He received a number of other cybernetic enhancements as well.

Currently Ralph leads small team of commandos from UNIT who back up UNIT agents in the field.

Known Family Background: Ralph has a brother Earl who served as a Navy Seal in Vietnam. Shortly after his own recruitment into UNIT, Ralph’s brother was also recruited.
