Kenzie is a fourteen-year-old freshman at the Rainsford Institute. Her build is fairly fit and otherwise unremarkable for her age. She has light auburn hair, long enough to go past her shoulders when worn straight. Her eyes are green and oddly dull, and even when she bothers to wear her thick glasses, the way she peers at things suggests she has a lot of trouble with her eyesight. She tends to wear casual but brand-name clothing. Her combat getup is rather more imposing, but so far she hasn't had cause to wear it, instead keeping it in a large wheeled backpack when she's on campus.

The Rinne family is well-known in monster-hunting circles, though not as hunters themselves. Instead, they've supported those called to service with science and inventions for centuries, and their family sigils are a common sight on high-tech variants of anti-monster weapons and medicines. While this support is generally appreciated, considering the wealth and lack of danger to the family they're sometimes viewed as hangers-on and profiteers. Kenzie's unusual decision to attend Rainsford personally, combined with her lack of experience and substantial family investment in her combat gear, has led to quiet suggestions that she's bought her way into the Institute for some reason.

(Acute/Accurate scent: Kenzie is a very fastidious person, and besides her natural human smell she usually smells faintly of shampoo and soap. She rarely even smells like, say, spilled food or dirt, suggesting she cleans up often.)
