What Happened: She tried to go back to school and make something of herself, but between the flashbacks and nightmares, it was hard to sleep at night. Which made it hard to concentrate on schoolwork, which led to an amphetamine addiction to keep up that she's mostly broken by this point.

Sure she's in her late 20s, burned out, and jumps at every shadow, but there has to be more to life than working at a diner in the dead half of Main Street and trying not to let her mind wonder too much about what might be lurking behind those shadows. Or why those trees look like giant Freddy Kruegers at night in the winter. She'd like to get her head fixed, maybe go back to school for the one thing in life she was really good at.

But mostly, she just wants the nightmares to stop.
