Type of Variation/Abilities: Ella cannot feel pain. She can be injured and/or lethally wounded without experiencing any discomfort. However, her variation/ability is limited to just that, it does not assist with recovery from injuries.

Appearance: Ella is petite, standing at 4’11” short. She looks almost doll-like with her deathly pale skin, large cerulean eyes, and strawberry blonde curls. She is often seen wearing high neck, long sleeve maid dresses to hide the fact that her limbs are held together by sutures. Her hands, which her dresses fail to hide, are covered in burns, scrapes, and cuts.

Personality: Other’s first impression of Ella is that she is responsible and well-mannered, preferable traits, especially in a maid. She could also be described as calm and aloof. As she cannot feel pain, few things cause her to lose her composure.

The few things that do cause her to lose her composure include people she thinks are cute/adorable. When she finds someone who meets her standards of cuteness, she is prone to obsessive behaviors – desiring to have them as her plaything, to admire, dress-up, and play with. It should be emphasized, however, that the mortal concept of “pain” eludes her. She is known to be rough with her “dolls” – as that is how she sees them.

Strengths:
No Pain Receptors - As Ella cannot feel pain, she can complete tasks where others may be limited due to their pain receptors. Furthermore, Ella is dutiful. She completes tasks that are given to her on time and without question.

Eye for Beauty - Ella has an eye for beauty. Her works as both a seamstress and a dollmaker are inarguably charming.

Weaknesses:
Easily Distracted -Ella is easily distracted. Although she may have obsessive tendencies towards those she finds cute, she can be easily distracted by suddenly remembering a task she was given to complete or by nearby messes. Not only is she easily distracted, she can’t stand messes and will drop whatever she is doing to clean.

Bloody Butcher -Despite her need for cleanliness and order, Ella is a bloody mess in the kitchen. She cuts meat like a sloppy butcher. Her own blood accounts for some of the blood in the kitchen, as she does not notice nor care when she cuts too close to her hand and fingers.

Risk of Blood Loss - Ella’s inability to feel pain may be a weakness in of itself as if she is not careful, she could potentially die from blood loss.

History: When she was 7, Ella was separated from her family before she could make it to the Underground to avoid the researchers and scientists. In the brief moment they were separated, Ella was unfortunate enough to be taken by Lorenzo, an old scientist.

During the next couple of years of her life, she underwent numerous body modification procedures – as evidenced  by her sutures – in order to create a super variant. It is unknown whether her inability to feel pain is a variation or a negative consequence to having undergone numerous experimental procedures. Either way, she was ultimately an unsuccessful product and was kept as a maid instead. At times, her duties would extend beyond typical maid duties. In order to psychologically survive her new reality, Ella developed a sort of loyalty to Lorenzo and she would carry out his dirty work as directed.

Recently, the elderly scientist died from old age. With no one around to tell her what to do or where to go – not that she ever minded – Ella wondered for herself where her family may be, or what may have become of them. Though she may move freely between decks, she has little memory of her life before to aid her in her search for her family.
