Physical Traits:
Erac is fairly tall with an athletic, muscular build. In spite of this, he is actually quite nimble. He has long, light brown hair, a beard, and blue eyes. Because he is the Heir to House Burley and Leader of their Household Guard, Erac has quite a few battle scars. He has one large scar on his right chest and several other smaller scars from cuts on his torso and back. He has moderately large scars on his right shoulder, right upper arm, left side, and left thigh.

Attire:
Most of the time Erac wears his scale mail armor with his bastard sword on his left hip and dagger on his right hip on his sword belt. For attending feasts and other events where armor is not appropriate, the clothes he has are not at the height of fashion. They are presentable but it is clear, being from a Mountain Clan, he has no interest in courtly fashion. Erac tries to have some blue or white in his clothing selection due to those colors being present in his coat of arms from House Burley.

Personality: Erac wants to be seen as a stoic, level-headed leader who is a noble fighter. He tries to act the part and for the most part, he does a good job, for the most part. He has a good heart but also a terrible temper that can be easily riled. He will forgive slight or things that have angered him but often not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. In most cases, his forgiveness or apology is sincere and heartfelt. In battle his temper may get the better of him and he may appear more ferocious as opposed to noble. As a bit of a womanizer, he is rarely seen without some beauty on his arms. High born or low born can be seen in his company, as long as they are attractive. He seems to have a preference for busty women as well.

Skills/Education:
Erac was trained by Ser Walden who was the former arms master of House Manderly before his age required him to step down. Erac gained many martial skills from this training. He learned the skills of horsemanship; fighting from horseback; fighting with lance, sword, and shield; fighting on foot; small unit battle tactics; and grand strategy. Erac was able to learn some basic etiquette about tournaments and courtly behavior by the fact that Ser Walden took him to some tournaments and advised him at feasts. Due to his diligence, Erac has a thorough knowledge of Northern lore, historical knowledge, and songs. He can be quite entertaining after he has a few ales in him and a more than passing lover.

History:
Erac’s father, Ser Mark Burley, is the current Lord of House Burley. Erac’s mother is Emely Long of House Long, another house in the north. He has a brother, Payten, who is two years younger than him and a sister, Jocelyn, who is nine years younger. At the age of sixteen Erac became a member of the Household Guard. Over the next four years, he was busy hunting down bandits and wildling raiders. Since he was a quick learner with a keen tactical sense and good combat skills his reputation and bandit fighting ability continued to rise. Erac sent many a bandit and wildling to the afterlife. When he was 20 years old, Erac, now leader of the Household Guard was sent, after House Burley received a call from House Stark, to serving in fighting the Iron Born raiding in the west. Erac was in the fierce battle at Deepwood Motte. During the fight, he personally killed 8 Iron Born who attacked Lord Herbert Glover before being slashed his left thigh. Although wounded, his continued in the battle as the force moved from Deepwood Motte pushing the Iron Born back to the sea. During that fighting, Erac came to the aid of Rodrick Forrester. While fighting Iron Born with Ser Rodrick, Erac was slashed across the abdomen and unable to continue the battle. After he recovered from his wounds, Erac was taken back to House Burley. Erac began to attend a tournament in the South once in a while. He mainly participated in the melee so he wouldn’t lose his horse and equipment. Finally, at the age of 24, he would occasionally participate in the joust as well at tournaments as well. In fact, he was jousting Ser Barnum Mallister in one tournament and took a splinter of wood the size of a dagger from Ser Barnum’s lance in his right shoulder and was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to the wound. As he continued participating in tournaments, Erac would usually have a decent showing and win enough matches so when he finally lost he was able to ransom his equipment back. Two year ago, when he was 25 years old, Erac only needed to make it through three more opponents to with the tournament but took a piece of a broke lance in his left side and was unable to finish. Then last year, at the age of 26, Erac only needed to win two more matches in order to be the tournament champion. This time, his opponent’s lance tore a deep slash in his right upper arm. Unfortunately for Erac he was again unable to finish.

Strengths:
Erac is intelligent with an excellent memory. He quickly and completely remembers the tales he has been told, or skills he has been taught. Erac tries to be patient when dealing with others (not always successful). The ladies he has been with relate Erac is an excellent lover.

Weaknesses:
Erac has a temper and can be impulsive at times.
