Sallero Flint

Name:Sallero Flint
Gender:Male
Age:24
Height:5'8"
Weight:153 lbs
Hair Color:Black
Eye Color:Hazel
House:Flint
Profession:Potential Heir
Homeland:The North/Braavos
Recognizable Traits:Attractive

Special Possessions/Heirlooms: A rather ornate ring wrought in silver and emerald that hangs on a silver chain around his neck that falls to the center of his sternum underneath his shirt.  It was a gift from his mother before her passing, and it bears a symbol from Braavos that she never taught him.  A signet right of House Flint is worn on one of his supple fingers.

The Breath of Sellagoro: The bow that Sallero carries is one that was commissioned to be made for him by his mother when she realized that her son's talent lay not with Water Dancing but in another area entirely.  Named for the tall, mountainous, tree-laden islands that windbreak for the Purple Harbor in Braavos, its meaning is that an arrow from this bow should be able to pierce the untamed winds that threaten to sink ships.  A new Wind stronger than the traditional Braavosian Water.

Character Description: Standing at approximately 5'8" in height, all it would take is a casual glance for a layman to see that Sallero was quite unlike his other brethren from Westeros.  Darker skinned than others who hail from this side of the sea by at least a few shades, the young man is built lean and lithe like a dancer or gymnast rather than a warrior suited for battle that was used to lifting heavy objects on a regular basis.  Wavy, dark locks of hair cascade down to his neck from either side of his head effectively framing a pair of evenly-set hazel eyes that threaten to pull one into their depths if one gazes into them for too long.  Combined with a face that has soft cheekbones and a strong, angular jawline, Sallero's features are quite striking with enough of a flavor of the exotic to tempt many a woman from the mainland.

Generally, Sallero observes courtly fashion when it is deemed necessary, but with just enough elements to respect both his origins in Westeros and Braavos.  In battle he generally eschews the heavy weaponry as well as the plate and chain armors of most warriors from Westeros in favor of a set of leather armor complete with bracers and gloves that attach.  The gloves leave the index and middle fingers as well as the thumb of each hand exposed--likely to promote the ease of using a bowstring.

Personality: Sallero appears to be, for all intents and purposes, a young man with a bon vivant personality.  Knowledge of his playboy lifestyle since having been pushed out of Widow's Watch is a matter of some repute, though whether for good or ill seems to be a matter of perspective.  What is known is that the door to his bedchambers has been opened by women of both common and noble birth, and the rumors of his ability have quickly heightened from positive into the ludicrous due to the fervor to which the smallfolk take to such talk.  However, the food is plenty and the drink runs freely at any festivity that is run by the outcast son of the Lord of Widow's Watch.  He is a talented Wordsmith with a razor wit and an easy smile.

Skills/Education: Educated in both the ways of the North by the Lord of Widow's Watch and Braavos by his mother, Sallero's education was unique to say the least.  Even though he was born to another woman, his father Travan Flint decided to give him the Flint name instead of Snow and took him in--a scandal to say the least for someone with the status of Lord of Widow's Watch.  As such, he was educated in much the way a child of a Lord would have been with knowledge of how to handle himself and speak in appropriate situations.  His mother attempted to teach him the ways of Water Dancing as was the way of the Braavosi.  However, much to her disappointment, Sallero did not display the talent.  He was quick and had good body control, but despite his usual ability to pick up skills easily the nuances of the Water Dance eluded him.  Perhaps it was because they were in the North and he had not been raised walking the Purple Harbor and they were not training on the Moon Pool.  Eventually, his mother Velleah found that her son's talent was not in the Water, but in the Air.  The Winds of Braavos had chosen to bless him instead.  The bow was his forte, not the blade.
