Khios Amren is a shriveled old man. He is stooped over and leaning heavily on a gnarled cane of polished white wood, a wrinkled hand clenched around the knob at the cane's head. Though his skin is creased and pale, it also seems hard as ironbark. Despite his age, he still carries a full head and beard of wild white hair. His voice evokes the crackling of fall leaves blown by a stiff wind, and his laughter is a dry rattle at the back of his throat. He wears faded brown tunics and pants, with a dark grey hooded cloak. His feet are either bare or separated from the ground only by thin pattens.

While the Old Gods do not have clerics or officers of the faith, Khios is known in the circles of the faithful as a respected practitioner of the ways of the Gods of the First Men. His opinions and advise are sometimes sought after, and he has aided many northmen in paying their respects to the ways of the true Gods of Westeros.
