Economic theorists often point to inherited wealth as a toxic element within a society. A youth being given incredible wealth with no appreciation for the work and discipline necessary to develop it often becomes incredibly decadent and wasteful, a leech that drains the family fortune while contributing nothing productive to society.

All of it was a waste.

He partied all night, spending his fortune on vast parties and showing up to classes hung over or suffering withdrawal from whatever designer drug he had overindulged in the night before. Still he was able to graduate with a degree in stellar cartography and astrogation. He had told his parents it was because he one day wanted to explore the stars and discover new worlds but the truth was he had looked up the student directory and picked the major with the hottest female student bodies.

After graduation he had no interest in doing actual work and instead decided to become a social media influencer.
