Physical Description:

Human: Konnie as a human form, is immense and statuesque. A veritable "Greek God" in musculature and stature. Standing well over eight feet in height, he is almost as tall as any modern human has ever been, but far larger and well built, with rippling muscle and superhuman proportions. His sheer size is almost too much to be believed, and presents various problems for him, as he cannot use any standard transportation and has trouble fitting in many buildings meant for normal human use. His height is of course a contributing factor, but so is his weight, as his tissues are more dense than most normal humans as well.

Other than his physique, which is extraordinary, Konnie is otherwise a decent looking man. He has naturally curly dark hair and piercing brown eyes. His facial structure shows fine cheekbones and a strong jaw, which never shows any sort of facial hair at all.

One recent change to his human form is the dragon marking that runs along his left shoulder and arm. Exactly where this came from, or how, he is unsure, though it certainly hints at his bloodline.

Drakon: If Konnie's human form is large, then his Drakon form, Athanasios, is immense. Standing the height of two stories, the bipedal form is a monster. This is how he has lived most of his life, as a bipedal reptilian beast. One might think of an ancient dinosaur given human characteristics, and they'd not be too far off. A large reptilian, perhaps vaguely crocodilian head, lined with rows of sharp teeth, sits atop a large humanoid body. Covered in a thick green hide, the height of the beast is balanced by a thick tail.

Talents & Weaknesses

Skills:
In both his human and Drakon forms, Konnie is a formidable hand to hand combatant. He has deep roots in grappling and wrestling, and prefers combat up close and very personal. His natural form also provides him with deadly claws and teeth, as well as a heavy tail. In his natural form he actually has great abilities as an ambush predator, using the natural environment to hide, be it foliage or water. Like a more standard reptile, the modern crocodile, his lung capacity is expansive and allows him to wait for long periods of time without moving underwater.

Modern conveniences, such as electronics and computers he does not grasp at all. In fact, he seems like a being quite stuck in the past and only recently learned of clothing with his assumption of a human form.

Highly Honed Instincts: Over the centuries Athanasios has learned to trust his instincts. Like many wild animals he can sense danger; from direct threats, to changes in the weather to general empathy with others around him.

Powers:

Impenetrable Skin: Konnie's father was Ladon, a great dragon, and brother of the Nemean Lion. Like that fabled beast, his hide was unable to be penetrated. This was passed on to his progeny, and Konnie's skin is unable to be broken by any mundane means. He is however susceptible to magical weapons and sufficiently powerful forces. One must still possess strength enough to penetrate that tough thick hide, but magic can do so. Enough crushing force or high impact trauma can also injure the muscles, bones or organs beneath the skin, even if the skin itself is not broken.

One immediate drawback of this skin, that might not necessarily be considered a weakness or even a power unto itself, is that while in his Drakon form this skin means he also cannot feel anything. No discomfort, no pain. His skin, though flexible, has no nerves to feel. This does allow him to shrug off blows which might be deadly - but also prevents him from telling if he might be horribly wounded and thus unaware.

Please note that in his human form his level of invulnerability drops considerably. Though in general he would be immune to, say, small arms fire, larger weapons can certainly hurt him. Magical weapons hurt him much more easily as well. Also, in his human form, and for the first time in his existence, he can actually feel. This is a brand new experience for him, and quite overwhelming.

Immense Strength: In both his human and Drakon forms he is immensely strong. His human form, Konnie, is much less strong than Anathasios, but still far above any normal human and rivaling many demigods.

Anathasios, like the Nemean Lion, has enough strength to contend with Heracles himself... but only while he is in contact with the ground or with water. As a beast of the earth and water, and the progeny of an ancient dragon whose lineage traces back to various ancient deities, Anathasios draws his strength from those elements he can touch.

Roar: This ability is only able to be used in his Drakon form, and is a terribly deep roar that rises in pitch throughout its use. It peaks at over 200 decibels and can be heard miles away. For mere mortals in close proximity it can not only be deafening but deadly, causing permanent hearing loss and collapsed lungs and jellied organs from the shockwave. How it works against other beings of power is hard to say, especially those with heightened senses.

Vulnerabilities:

Magic: By far his deepest vulnerability is magic. Be it from spells or enchanted weapons, his defenses against such things is limited at best and in many cases nonexistent. Magical weapons can be contended with partially by his natural toughness as mentioned above, but magical spells - depending on their own nature - affect him easily.

Of Two Minds: Since having the ability to assume a human form, Anathasios has found himself often arguing with himself. This split seems to have formed two different personalities, and though he had always been weak against certain mental attacks or those against the mind, he is now especially vulnerable.

Relics:

Drakonhammer: An immense hammer, constructed of some unknown metal, and as long as Anathasios is tall. It has no magical function, though one must be of exceptional strength to wield it with any proficiency.

Under The Hood

Personality:

Anathasios' base personality, that of his Drakon form, is not hard to understand. He has, for his entire existence, been hated and hunted. One never hears of the tales of the humans seeking out the dragon to befriend them. Oh no. It is always to slay - to butcher and steal from. And so it has been for Anathasios. Humans came to him seeking violence, seeking to claim his life. For no other reason than for what he was. He knew none of them, and he did not care after awhile.

At first he'd tried to get along with them, to convince them he meant no harm. But humans are cruel and wicked, and bore him nothing but hatred and fear. The transgressions of the gods are cruel, and petty. But they pale in comparison to humans and their transgressions against not only themselves, but nature itself. They are intentionally and maliciously evil. Anathasios simply... is.

So over time, until his Great Slumber, he grew to hate them. He never once hunted them, but any that stumbled upon him were not suffered to live. He kept to himself, and hid from the world. This shaped his personality; distrust.

Humans. Are. Monsters.

For Konnie things are different. This new more human personality is full of wonder and life. For the first time he can actually experience things as a human, and it is very strange. He can feel pain, and gentleness, and happiness. Love and the sunshine, and the wind on his skin. Food tastes better, more vivid, and though his sheer size draws people, it is out of curiosity and not out of desire to actually kill him. This new set of experiences is wonderful but also confusing. He's like a child discovering everything for the first time. It is both wondrous and damning.

Backstory:

Just how many children the dragon Ladon might have had is uncertain, and Anathasios has always been alone. He never knew his father, and he has heard various stories; that he was slain by Heracles or that he died of old age. Either way, Anathasios was born monstrous, with reptilian eyes and green skin and a small tail. It is unlikely that his mother knew his true father, for dragons were rumored to be quite powerful, and many myths tell of them changing forms and walking among the humans. So at birth he was abandoned and thrown away. Left to fend for himself in the wild, his skin was the only reason he managed to live, that infamous durability keeping him alive through the years. In fact, Anathasios has lost track of how many fights he has been in. Hunted in his early years by all manner of predators, he had to kill or be killed.

He stuck close to human settlements at first, finding them easier to scavenge from like many animals learn to do. Always having to hide himself he quickly learned he was never wanted. Growing quickly, he was the size of a full grown man within five years. As he grew his mind opened, and he learned speech, and began to see what he himself was capable of. Some things came easily to him with barely any prompting, like reading and writing, and various languages. Over time he realized that certain things were simply passed down in his blood.

Every few decades he discovered that he entered a deep hibernation. How long this lasted varied wildly, and the exact reason for it is not something he has ever discovered. Whether it is part of the life cycle of dragons, or something even more primordial, he's unsure. In general his slumbers would last for generally as long as he'd been awake, working in decades long cycles between the two. There was always time to cleverly and safely hide himself, and his slumber was never discovered. Oddly, after this last Great Slumber he awakened to a world very much changed.

Humans had been going through quite the Industrial Revolution when he was last awake, and of course warring among themselves. He had rarely seen a species so violent and cruel unto itself, and he had to keep reminding himself; Humans. Are. Monsters.

So when it was time for his Great Slumber he was quite ready, and tucked himself away, deep in the earth. For decades he slept, only this time when he awakened, things felt... different.

The world had changed in so many ways. When he awakened the technology of man was stunning to behold. Communication all over the world was so easy, and at one's fingertips. News from all over the world could spread in literal minutes. Medical breakthroughs, both in technology and medicine itself, had improved by leaps and bounds. And yet, despite how far man had come, they still had not learned how to take care of themselves, or one another. Humans were still monsters. More refined, but monsters.

It did not take long for him to realize he could now assume human form, though squeezing his immense size into the much smaller human form was slightly uncomfortable at first. Konnie has found that, much like his Drakon form, he prefers to be naked. Most clothing does not fit him, but he quickly found that his size, coupled with his nakedness, drew inordinate amounts of attention, so he has begun wearing at least a pair of shorts.

Connections:

Konnie has yet to make any true human connections, though in his Drakon form he feels a kinship with other so called mythological beasts. His sheer size makes it difficult at best to fit in anywhere, even should he desire to.
