Appearance/Personality
Hanna is one attractive (if weird) young lady.  She has strong Nordic features... long blonde hair, pale blue eyes, etc.  Hana comes across as a bit of a tomboy, but that's what hard street life will do to a girl.  She prefers to dress in jackets & jeans and hasn't worn a dress since she was a teen.

History
Hanna was born in Sweden, but has lived for most of her life in New York.  Her family was strict but affluent and Hanna never really lacked anything (except perhaps some freedom).  All of that changed when on a holiday to LA, the city blew up!  The dying screams of four million souls jolted Hanna into her Awakened state.  Even then, she might not have survived...but a Wraith pulled her into the safety of the Underworld at the last moment.

When Hanna emerged from the Underworld, she was a changed woman... calling herself Marigold.  She'd made a pact with her wraithly Mentor, gathered enough wits to process her new status, and come to accept that she'd be forever touched by death.  Even outside of the Underworld, Hanna could hear the Restless Dead while the sleepers had a hard time even remembering her.  She took the advice of her Mentor to avoid other mages and keep a low profile (while 'helping him' of course).  Hanna returned home to take what she could and then faded into the ghettos that sprung up in New York.  She experimented with her powers and mingled with the Restless Dead, trading favors for power.  Sometimes she even had to fight... things.

Recently Hanna has rubbed shoulders with other 'Orphans' and with America's slide into fascism... safety in numbers seems a wise choice.

Paradigma
Hanna's understanding of magic is a weird blend of necromancy and pop culture (she's a particular fan of the Mystere comic book heroine).  With her tie to the Underworld and its denizens, Hanna calls upon that dark energy to perform miracles.  In theory she could raise the dead (with more study), shoot dark bolts of energy (more study required) etc.  There is a LOT of untapped potential in the Underworld, but 'experience' has taught her to be more circumspect (co-incidental), because the Living World cannot handle all of its power.  Also the Underworld bites back, HARD... if not used carefully.  Hanna understands that her magic and situation is unique... no other mages were Awakened in a manner identical to her.
