Joe is white bread as they come. Average is almost every way at school until he was able to do a little work with engines in design and technology at high school where he found his interest. Fairly practical in his life in a contrast to his parents who were a bit more "artsy". Parents immigrated over from Ireland just before Joe was born to take up jobs. No siblings.

Gets on well with most people in a superficial way, several girlfriends over the years with none being very serious.Loyal to those who have demonstrated their own loyalty to him.
