Dr. Markov is a slightly-short Human male, 40-something years old, with a mustache and slightly wild hair. He typically wears a jumpsuit and a belt of some kind, with goggles (around his neck, when he's not working).

He has a slight scar on one cheek- it's only really visible by certain light.

He speaks with... some kind of accent. (Earthling, for sure. But what IS it? Russian? Austrian? Mitteleuropean? Some alternate-history country we're unfamiliar with? [OOC: The actor playing him (in the serial we're all in) isn't quite sure either, so he made up something.].

Typically, he gets more formal the more intense a situation gets. ("If you would be so kind as to press the accelerator? To the floor, please. Thank you.")

He cares about proper scientific decorum. For instance, anyone calling him "Perfesser" is going to be asked not to do that. ("I have no tenure.") [OOC: This is a 'bit'. Feel free to do it anyway.]

He insists (whatever the evidence) that he is a proper scientist. He despises perversions of science, and gets uncharacteristically intense about the worse kinds of Mad Scientist.

He believes in the beneficial power of learning and discovery (he can be persuaded to help people very easily, if approached this way).

He also believes in sharing what he knows, which can come off as "monologuing". ("What is wrong with telling people what's going on?")

Recent events have made him unwilling to 'stay in the lab, forever', making him more active than a lot of 'egghead types' might be.
