Christine Blake Theaker

Well presented woman of twenty-five who usually appears in figure fitted matching suits in darker tones of blues and greens and when out and about a felt hat and mink coat, she generally keeps her long hair rolled up and secured low at the back of her head and offsets her outfits with gloves, a long cigarette holder in one hand and a martini in the other. She's very much the social butterfly and prides herself on her hosting of soirees. She's considered by many to be a local beauty, partly due in as much to her warm character as physically, leading to initial questions about her choice to settle down with James Theaker, although such questions have diminished in light of Professor Theaker seemingly changing his ways since his wedding.

Born to Charlton "Charlie" Blake 2nd. Professor of middle eastern ancient history and culture, Babylon, Assyria and Gail Blake (nee Harrison), former dance choreographer for a few Broadway productions, teacher until she had children and retired herself when Andrew was born.
Christine is the youngest child alongside Sam, who died in The Great War in 1918 at the age of 17 as an Enlisted Officer, and Andrew, the eldest and very much his mother's son, a flamboyant gentleman who remains unmarried. Now a theatre producer at the age of 30.

Professor McTavish, reintroduced Christine to James Theaker who despite his reputation for illicit liaisons fell for Christine, and so she agreed to join him for a trip to the Movie theatre. By the end of the evening she was uncertain as to James' thoughts as he remained awkward and distant although he then invited her out again, and a third time when on saying their goodbyes for the evening Christine took the bull by the horns and asked "Are you going to stand there or are you going to kiss me?". The pair were married six months ago and took an unexpected honeymoon to an excavation in Guatemala, while enthralled by the adventure, Christine did not function well with the heat, the local wildlife and the constant swarming insects, the fact that no-one spoke English and that the sheer amount of dirt ruined several dresses. Despite her complaints, she has never been happier.
