Frida Goldmeadow, later known as Frida Daggerdare, was left as an orphan on the steps of a great repository of knowledge, the Hessen Tower. Taken in by the human monks and scholars there, she grew up amongst other orphans and children of the library. She stood out from the other children as a halfling; and yet, when she became of age, she proved the most adept among them at the art of swordplay. Frida spent her childhood studying amongst the scholars, honing her combat skills, and playing innocent pranks on the other children and inhabitants of the repository. The older she got, the more she wished to explore the world beyond the walls of the tower. When she became adult, she packed her things, said her farewells, and embarked upon a life on the road. Her charming manner and sticky fingers quickly made her many friends and enemies wherever she went.

As a halfling, Frida is short and slender. Her dark brown hair falls just past her shoulders, and beneath her brown eyes she wears a permanently playful smile. She has two shortswords sheathed to either side of her — more like long knives than anything — that are her weapons of choice when she has to fight (or gets herself into one).
