Ebenezer (Ben) Livingston

A large man, whose features look like a rough carving made in stone, towering at almost 10 ft tall, most find him intimidating. These features are amplified by the fact that he is made of stone, gray in color, his clothes are well worn and frayed, but of surprising quality. Upper crust vest, his shoes well agitated (when he wears them) but well polished. An air of slight superiority seem to radiate his gestures, and his voice may sometimes betray his sarcastic nature, but not always. Although his exterior actions seem oft sardonic, his character is of a deep loyalty, like gold deep in the mountains, and he never fails to do good, although it be accompanied by a wry grin. He carries a club mad of an old ship mast, with the head of an elephant carved into it.  He may often use it as a cane in some situations, almost comically.
Quick to avenge an offense, he often totes the old adage “an elephant never forgets”, although his enemies often do.

He was born into a celestial dragon family; His parents were Jonaton and Beryl Livingston, who made their fortune from cutting down "Spirit Wood" trees. They also partially enslaved the Islanders of Nobu to work for them, taking advantage of the Noobians and their peaceful demeanor. As Ben grew older, he learned the traditional woodcraft of the locals, helping them work, and even using the skills he learned to create toys in his room. The elder, Tomias, sensing his potential, takes him under his wing in secret and teaches him the ancient traditions of his people. Ancient woodworking techniques, even "woodspeaking". When his family discovers his craft, it is destroyed, and he is disciplined for taking part in "slave work". He continues his training in secret.

The traditional way to harvest Spirit Wood is to harvest like fruit, waiting for it too fall naturally, as the natives held it to be sacred. The Livingston family, wishing to up production, planned to cut them down. Ben knew that not only would it destroy the Noobians way of life, and the local ecosystem.
His plees were unheard, though, and the family would proceed in ravaging the island. When they were done, they would just leave the island. After realizing they would not be reasoned with, Ben secretly made his way to his old friend Tomias.

Even despite his warnings, the Noobians were a peaceful people and would not fight. Ben decided to take things into his own hands. He remembered of an old tale of a secret treasure that the natives kept in a cave by the shore that was accessible only during certain movements of the tide. He had spent much of his youth searching for it, and when he finally found it, decided to keep the secret of Nobu close to his chest. He would often run away to find it again, reveling in his boon, known only to him and the village elder.

It would later be know to him as the "Stone-stone fruit". The Noobian legend declared that anyone who would eat the fruit would become a great warrior, but suffer a great curse. It was because of this the Noobians also developed their pacifistic lifestyle, and had kept it for many hundreds of years.
As young Livingston held the fruit in his hand, he would often wonder how a fruit could stay fresh for so long, and knew it was more than a legend.

His plan would be to invade the night the shipment for the harvesting machines and tools came in, he would eat the fruit and use its power to destroy the shipment. He knew there was a price to pay, but would do it anyway. His first bites filled him with strength, and made him nearly invulnerable. Devouring the rest of the fruit, he took off to finish his plan, setting fire to the boats and crates that carried the supplies. As the night wore on, he found that his size and appearance began to change, and soon people began to scream in terror as a giant rock creature was destroying their livelihood. Soon, even his own family did not recognize him, and as a hail of gunfire chased him away into the night. Taken by surprise, Ben was unable to complete his task.

In shock, ben stumbled away to hide. Bunkering himself in an old hunting cabin, he comes across an old mirror. Knowing that he can never return to his family, and even fearing the being rejected by his natives he did the only thing he thought he could: run away.

Ebenezer wandered from city to city for many years, oft an outcast because of his appearance. This left him bitter, having had a prolific youth, to being tossed into the harshness of life. But one day, he finds work on a pirate ship, by a captain who accepts him for who he is; he is neither cheated, or scorned for existing, and even finds the interests of his youth revived in being a shipwright. Although he still maintains his "hard" exterior, and his sarcastic humor seemingly harsh to some, his loyalty to his new found family is second to none. This causes him to be less interested in being involved with others affairs outside of the crew, and standoffish, but deep down he is a good, and will help those in need if it is desperate enough.
