Description
Rashana stands out of the crowd by natural beauty, her naturally sunny complexion and golden hair both fairly standout qualities amongst the majority of Irohnese. Being of middling height and with a lean build akin to an active and healthy dancer, most tend to take a bit of notice.

Her usual attire prior to the collapse of Irohn consisted of formal dress for various occasions, upper-class garb, the robes of a scholar, or on occasion, the stained but well-maintained tunic of an artisan. Post-collapse, she has adopted simpler attire, hand-crafted and of unusually fine quality. She carries no visible weaponry, or even the usual tools of an artisan, despite her notable work.

Personality
Despite her high birth and the strict caste system, Rashana's pursuit of the intellectual and artistic fields exposed her to a great deal of varied opinions. Further, her own natural insights as an artist and a creator have given rise to an inherent understanding - the world can always be different, can always be better than it is now. She enjoyed the comforts of her high birth, but also recognized that many don't have those comforts. With the demise of Amaya, the question of reincarnation is a puzzle for some other time.

Rashana is naturally friendly to most, good-natured and generally a thoughtful young woman. She sometimes has trouble containing her own creativity or the urge to try and concoct solutions even to other people's problems. She grew up pressured toward success, and was also facing arranged marriage when the world was in the process of ending - a small relief, in the face of greater troubles.

Background
Born to one of Irohn's noble families as their eldest daughter, Rashana was brought up in a faithful family (at the least, on the surface), pressured constantly toward success and perfection. She was able to receive the best schooling, though faced social difficulties with her peers from other high houses early on.  Her family always maintained demands of her, and they grew to be a source of private frustration which she could only vent into her blossoming passion - her creative studies.

Despite her parents desire for her to enter into the political world, Rashana's creative skills - and cleverness - were such that she instead managed to pursue artistic studies. She was a passionate student, succeeding by motivation more than natural talent. By the time her parents learned that she had defied them in her course of study, it was far too late to change it, though her father seemingly began to pursue seeking her an arranged marriage almost punitively after the fact.

Despite that, though, Rashana's graduation project is something well known - she constructed a large-scale orrery which was installed and unveiled in the academy courtyard. A moving clockwork, the device was even more accurate than models in use by members of Amaya's theotechnical priests - and Rashana became a focus of interest for them, a skilled artisan who could help to maintain Amaya's divine form. [Another group, a group of more rebellious artists seeking to uncover their past lives also sought her for her skills.] Rashana, for her part, was not inclined to beholden herself to any particular order, though, and so, in the days leading toward the end, they were seeking to recruit her for her talents, while her father pressed her toward and undesired and unappealing arranged marriage...
