To mortal eyes, Korbin Waller is a young man in his twenties with a tangle of patchily dyed red and brown hair that’s usually tied back and under a bandana. He possesses a ropy, ungainly build and skin darkened from a lifetime’s work in and out of the sun. Neither particularly fair or unfortunate of feature, Korbin would probably be considered ‘forgettable’ but for his tawny eyes; an arresting shade of gem-like amber. It’s a rarity to catch him in anything but work clothes, at least to mortal eyes.

The view is, of course, different to those who can see the truth. His hair is still a mess but of a snowy shade. It’s been dyed red but that seems to be washing out at an alarming rate, leaving only the wispy tips still have any color. Korby’s skin is pale, like that of most nockers and unevenly reddened as if from time spent in close proximity to a flame. His eyes are even more striking like this; rather than mere amber they almost burn with the heat of the forge itself.

Distinguishing Features: His strange eyes and a grab-bag of assorted scars he’d generally rather not talk about.

Known Background: Korbin (Korby to his friends and any changelings that haven’t cheesed him off) is something of a nomad. Originating in the great cesspool that is the state of Louisiana (his own words), he doesn’t talk about his early life as a human much or even his early years as a changeling, if he can help it. He has mentioned his first guardian and mentor in the changeling community being an old troll warrior back home by the name of Garth Hudson.

As a frequent traveler, Korby’s comfortable with his stature as an outsider in the local freeholds. He has a reputation for being blunt and quick-tempered but fair; willing to settle disagreements with a fistfight or a drinking contest. It gets a little more complicated with nobles; giving him unwarranted orders is a sure way to invite a sharp retort. On the other hand, he’s been quick to help when the freehold falls into danger.

Korbin seems to make his living off of odd jobs and his relatively unknown but well-loved in the community series of crafting livestreams on YouTube.
