Part Two: Backstory
Matt grew up the only child in an upper middle class family in the city. His dad was a firefighter chief was his mom was the manager of a clothing retail store. Matt never really wanted for anything, but strong parenting from his parents instilled humbleness and being a good example for those around him. This combined with his massive size even as a young child led him into a reputation of a leader on the many sports teams he was on. He knew he wasn’t the brightest bulb in the pack, but he knew enough to support the one in charge and encourage others to do the same.

His adult life consisted of joining the National Guard Reserves after high school and serving his 4 years. Afterwards he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a firefighter. Because of a conflict of interest, he had to move to a different department in Albuquerque where his father wasn’t the boss. He served with excellence and pride during his time there. The consistent schedule also allowed him to pursue his interests and duties as a Guard at the local Freehold, a task that he enjoyed immensely.

Part Three: Chrysalis Questions
• When did you have your Chrysalis? 14 years old. What triggered it? He had been walking home with his running back best friend when some hoodlums tried to shake them down for money. Matt responded with holding his ground and fighting off all three assailants despite injuries.
• Who provided your Fosterage? A Seelie troll by the name of Grundar.
• How did you first meet your Guardian? Grundar was the police officer who responded to the call about the assault on Matt and his friend.
• When and why did your Guardian choose to Foster you? Shortly after his Dream Dance to guide the troll in the ways of duty and chivalry as it related to the Fae world and the courts.
• Who thinks the worst of you due to your missed mortal Obligations? His buddies at the fire department are somewhat concerned about his sudden call outs for ‘personal’ reasons.
• Who was the first person you accidentally hurt with your Glamour? The three assailants on the night of his Dream Dance as the Glamour fueled him with such strength that he couldn’t control that put two out of the three in the hospital for broken bones.
