Elspeth Ilvastarr
'Chills' is of average height, maybe a little shorter.  And of slender build.  She has white-blonde hair, ice-blue eyes, and a narrow, angular face.

Elspeth is a charmer, used to getting her way - one way or another.  Not her best quality.  But she does like to be liked, and she does love people.  From a different background, she might have been a bard.

But as a member of one of the older noble families of Waterdeep, 'entertainer' was out of the question.  Elspeth, like some in her extended family, showed some magical talent when young - and was promptly boarded off to school, where that sort of thing was discouraged.  That didn't last long.  She was tutored here in the city, at home.  That didn't work well either.  Too much 'conflict' between her mother, her sisters, and her.  Finally, she was packed off tutor in the countryside, at the family manse with a different tutor who had more...leeway.

"Is this all true?" he father asked, aghast, reading a scroll from Galdural, her tutor.  She stood in front of the broad desk arrayed in front of a huge window that overlooked the square in the Trade Ward, a skull of each of the animals that made their fur empire great - fox, mink, marten, ermine - one on each corner. "Haldon, close the door and see we're not disturbed. Daughter, sit."

It wasn't a request.  Elspeth moved to a chair closer to the desk, her mink cloak swishing as she moved to reveal an almost-summer weight silk dress. "I suppose this explains why you're never cold, eh?" He cracked a thin smile, though Elspeth had seen it before and knew there was no real mirth in it.  "Y-yes, father, after a fashion."

"AFTER A FASHION! AFTER A FASHION!" he thundered, slamming his fist and the now crumpled scroll on the desk. He sat and seethed, his words a soft hiss. "This will not do. And while I do not want to speak of it again, my limited knowledge of this sort of..." his lip curled with disgust "dragon sorcery, tells me that you won't be able to control it, or hide it, without practice.  Practice best done anywhere but here."

He sat back and glowered, his silver hair and angular, narrow-featured face haloed by the winter sun behind him in the window.  He steepled his long fingers in front of his face, thinking, hen raised his pale, pale blue eyes to hers.  "I have an idea.  You are to travel to Neverwinter. You will not travel as an Ilvastarr, but rather under the nickname that Olivan called you by, that you hated - 'Chills'.  I'll send you with my man for the upcoming trade shipment of furs.  Once there, well, you're charming and resourceful. Find a way to practice, to hone this 'background' - it must come from your mother - and come to some semblance of mastery.  You'll miss the balls, maybe die, and you certainly won't be betrothed to the Baratholemieu of the Adarbrents, but you might just amount to something.  I shall expect some communication come Midsummer.  Haldon will see to your outfitting; and consider something warmer; Neverwinter is much colder than here, despite the name. Go, my daughter.  Don't return until you have in under control."

- - I'm thinking that though a 'noble' she doesn't get all the benefits....yet.  But coin from Haldon, and maybe a help from the trader (who may or may not know 'Chills' secret) ought to be enough to find a way for her to use her skill - maybe by taking a role as an adventurer?
