Amardes is the daughter of Master Builder Taelia Leithianeth, and the keeper of the stores Qin Leithianeth. She has just celebrated her hundredth birthday, which in human terms is mid to late teens.

Amardes affinity with nature is perhaps more 'feral' than than most elves. She embodies Nature Red in Tooth and Claw in a very real and physical sense: able to change into a 'predator form' that allows her father's teaching to be more effectively used.

Like most Wood Elves she is a little shorter than most inhabitants. She looks as though she would snap like a twig, but that slight form is packed with muscle that would put a dwarf to shame. When hunting... something she does very well ... she will either use a sling, or just chase the animal and kill it with a swift bite, as she is often faster than the animal is.

Amardes can be a little hard to talk to sometimes. She seems not very interested in many Elven trappings. Clothes are almost an afterthought worn because her mother wants her to, but she draws the line at shoes, and the soles of her feet are as hard as boot leather
