Aoibheann (Ee•van) appears to be a pale, petite, young woman of unearthly beauty. Her fair skin and blonde hair mark her northern heritage. While not short, standing very close to the average at 5'3", she is slender and does not appear to be very muscular. Despite not being particularly strong, she is fit and seems to be resilient. While she can manage the fingering of a harp or lyre amazingly well, she is more generally a little klutzy and not very physically quick overall. Despite lacking a childbearing figure, Aoibheann is remarkably pretty in a transcendent way, somewhat like the sidhe; and the hazel, green, gray, and blue of her speckled irises seem to vary in intensity with the sounds around her. Her appearance makes placing her age difficult, but most would suspect she is in her mid 20s.

Despite being a maga not so many years past her gauntlet, Aoibheann has already earned several reputations, both good and bad. Despite being a member of House Merinita she has a reputation for being a hedge wizard, as she may actually be a Faerie wizard rather than a Hermetic maga. However, it seems she has a destiny to inherit Queen Medb's legacy, so even if she is a Faerie wizard her magical prowess it expected to become legendary. Less well known but still known, during her Macgnímartha Aoibheann challenged many faerie knights and bested a good many, making a name for herself as a warrior and a potential up and coming Hoplite.

Aside from the common and obvious effects the Gift has on people, any who have interacted with Aoibheann for long will have certainly noticed a number of unusual characteristics. She seems to be driven strongly by passion. That showing up in in her music may not be so surprising. But between her great aspirations toward Irish heroism for someone so little and her unconventional norms more reminiscent if the fae, people tend to be surprised by what she expresses and how she acts.
