The sides of his head are shaved, exposing his pointed orcish ears. The tips of two small tusks protrude slightly up from his lower jaw, further revealing his half-orc nature. The medium length black hair on the top of his head is combed straight back. Dark stubble follows his jawline. There is a scar that starts just under his left eye and runs down his cheekbone, ending just below his left ear. His dark eyes always seem to be furrowed in anger or frustration.

When not in armor, which is not often, Tyrell typically dresses in dark clothes as it is better at hiding the blood and dirt. On his upper right arm, is a tattoo of a fist surrounded by a dark cloud, the emblem of the mercenary group that he once served.
