Physical Description: A massive man. Ruggedly handsome. Built like a lumberjack (or a blacksmith, which is fitting, since that's his trade.) Long hair, somewhat fair, usually tied back in some way.

Clothing: Normally, he is attired in a wool tunic, high breeches, belt and boots, appropriate to daily life in a rural community. If called to battle, he dons a rudimentary suit of leather armour, and wears an impressive battle axe on his back.

Background: He lives in the farming community where he was raised, learning a variety of practical skills, including iron working and horseback riding. He combines these two passions by making the finest horse shoes in the region. One of three children. An older brother (22) is married and lives in a nearby village among his wife's people. A younger sister (17) lives on the family farm. Their mother died tragically some 17 years ago, just as her own parents had a number of years prior to that. The other grandparents are still alive and live on the same farm. The father is also alive, but he is blind and crippled, having been injured in battle just a few years ago.
