History: Saphira's life hasn't been an easy one from the word go. Her father and brother hated her from the moment she was born, all for something she couldn't control. You see her mother died just after giving birth to her because there had been a rogue attack against her mother who was seven months pregnant. Her father got her to the pack hospital in time for them to cut little Saphira from her mother but the wounds were too great for her mother to survive. Now any normal person would have said you can't even blame the person who came out of her mother just in time to survive when she hadn't even been a part of the attack. But because he had no one else to blame but the innocent child, he took it out on the innocent child. But the thing is, being a mate is a powerful bond. The moon goddess chooses who our mates are as they are supposed to be the perfect wolf for them and they are stronger with them than without them.

That being said we only get one mate and to reject your mate is shocking to most. But it does happen. But not to my parents. When a male wolf mates and marks, the bond strengthens them and the male will always be very protective of his mate and if they don't mate they become jealous of their mate should any boy come near her and heaven forbid they touch her even in a friendly way. Male wolves who are mated or unmated can only be calmed by the touch of their mates.

But her parents were mated and even had a son first. So when her mother became pregnant with her, they had been overjoyed to add to their family. Then tragedy struck and her father's grief turned into her worst nightmare. She had no father from that point on and having been handed off to the pack wetnurse to raise, only taking her back when she was old enough to become his and Jake's servant. The worst came though when the Alpha called her into his office at the age of ten and told her from that moment on she was an omega and that she was below of everyone from the pack. That she was to never look them in the eyes unless instructed to and to do what was asked of her without question. This becamw her life. The entire pack used her as their verbal and physical punching bag. Always making sure to inflict as much pain as possible whether it was emotional which was what her brother did as he never would lay a hand on her, but it was just as bad if not worse because he was the only one she felt should protect her but wjenever she called to him, he would turn his back and walk away. It tore her apart so much. But there was nothing she could do. When she turned 16 which was when girls found their mates, she hadn't found him so she hoped he was outside of the pack. She turned eighteen and still no mate so she had almost given up hope when she remembered that Artemis the son of the Alpha was turning eighteen two months after her and when an alpha turns of age, all the neighboring packs come to celebrate with them. That was her way out, she would hopefully meet her mate then and get the hell out of this place and never return.
