Description: Catrina is the undisputed leader of Clan Ventrue in San Diego, and she very much looks the part. Catrina is well spoken, even if her vocabulary is a little old fashioned. She always appears sophisticated and classy in public, even if it means she is overdressed or a little out of place. Just like most members of her clan, Catrina initially comes off as haughty and arrogant, humorless, and strict. For those beneath her, this demeanor might as well be fact. Among her clan, Catrina is known to be quite enthusiastic and verbose. She has a great deal of dignatas and is one of the rare elders who believes in passing along useful knowledge and skill.

Brief Bio: Catrina is Scottish, but she had lost her accent by the age of 12. She grew up in a convent, after being promised to an English aristocrat. By her 20th birthday she was the lady of a London estate and mother of four girls. She was selected for the embrace the same time her husband was, however Catrina adapted and he did not. Even as the plague claimed two of her daughters, a French peasant took the third, and the last became a nun, Catrina protected them. For the first couple of decades, she was seen as weak and easily manipulated. As the years passed and her offspring needed less and less protection, Catrina changed her focus to the things that mattered: her caln and the Camarilla. Catrina was a quick study in her kindred youth and it wasn't long before her peers realized she would easily overcome her husband's lackluster performance. By the time she was an Ancillae, Catrina had left her mark in the courts of London, Prague, and Rome. She was a dignified traditionalist who remained humble to her superiors and superior to her lessers.

Catrina is old fashioned by today's standards. She clings to tradition and holds antiquated beliefs about gender, work, and etiquette. She truly enjoys being treated like a lady, and often surrounds herself with the company of those who have similar taste.

Catrina loathes disorder and chaos. She is quick to snub rude behavior, and is known to reject those who don't meet her exacting standards out of hand. Catrina is a traditionalist, a cog (albeit a powerful one) in the wheel. She is always a voice of stability and believes in the status quo. When Riley became Prince and Juan Lorenzo started throwing his weight around, Catrina offered no challenge. She stayed out of their way and didn't so much as push for her rather successful childe Elizabeth to be shown favor. Instead she maintained her position, leading her clan to make seemingly very minimal gains in status, resources, and influence. Her critics (the few there are) had said she was missing opportunities. However, in the aftermath of San Diego's shake-up, Catrina came off as a genuine supporter of Riley and Juan, which allowed the Ventrue to get by with the least amount of setbacks and backlash out of all the clans.
