Abbot

Lì-Bolin is a stern looking Khitan monk who appeared at the fort a couple of months ago along with a small entourage of his countrymen, Fan-Hee among them. From the respect he is given from his brothers it is clear that he is the leader of the foreign expedition. From the few curt interactions the locals have had with the monks (Fan-Hee excluded) the people have come to refer to him as the abbot, or simply, Abbot.

At first glance he appears to blend in with his fellow monks nearly to the point of being almost indistinguishable from the others other than his height, which is not particularly tall but is almost a full head taller than his diminutive countrymen. Upon closer examination he glides with balance, strides with power and stands like a rock. He never cracks a smile, he never loses his temper, he never so much as casts a sidelong glance at an ample bosom, and never violates his word.

He shares the attire of his countrymen, dark hooded and wide-sleeved robes, embroidered silk jacket and trousers, sandals on his feet. At times when the group ventures out into the jungle he carries a strange spear with wide half-moon blade, and appears to don armor beneath his robes as indicated by the hint of steel under the hood of his robe.
